Kindergarten fees refunded
As per the Government's new Bill 1, schools are no longer permitted to charge instructional resource fees.
Under Bill 1, all school boards in the province are no longer permitted to charge instructional resource fees. As such, Rocky View Schools will be reimbursing the families that paid the $25 Kindergarten fee collected during its Advanced Registration Process in January. As the Minister has indicated, Alberta Education’s regulation on instructional fees will be released in early June; no formal invoices will be issued for 2017-18 school fees until after the policy and procedure are reviewed and approved by the Minister.
